Google has officially launched its latest artificial intelligence model, Gemini 3, which is being touted as the company’s most intelligent and factually accurate AI system to date. This new flagship model, Gemini 3 Pro, is now accessible to users through the Gemini app, marking a significant step for Google as it aims to surpass OpenAI in the consumer-focused AI space. Gemini 3 Pro introduces a “natively multimodal” capability, allowing it to process text, images, and audio simultaneously. According to Tulsee Doshi, senior director at Google DeepMind, this advancement aims to make information more universally accessible. The model also features enhanced reasoning capabilities and is designed to deliver concise and insightful responses, minimizing the use of empty flattery often associated with other AI systems. Gemini 3 Pro is now available for users, with certain features rolling out to subscribers first.
Intuit is set to enhance its tax and accounting products by integrating them with ChatGPT, a move that reflects the growing trend of incorporating artificial intelligence into financial services. As the retail landscape shifts, particularly during events like Black Friday, consumers increasingly seek efficient ways to manage their finances and find deals. The integration aims to streamline processes for users, potentially reducing the time spent on tax and accounting tasks.
OpenAI has launched a new version of its programming-focused AI model, Codex Max, which significantly enhances its capacity to manage larger workloads and improve coding efficiency. The new model reportedly processes tasks using 30% fewer tokens and executes coding tasks 27% to 42% faster than its predecessor, Codex, according to OpenAI’s claims. This upgrade allows Codex Max to maintain coherent performance while managing millions of tokens in a single task, making it particularly effective for complex coding projects. OpenAI emphasizes that this model also improves cybersecurity by sustaining long-horizon reasoning, which is crucial for detecting potential vulnerabilities in coding environments.
Pia has launched the Automation Hub, a centralized marketplace within its platform designed for managed service providers (MSPs), vendors, and technology partners. The Hub allows users to access, install, and exchange pre-built automations for common service desk and operational tasks, such as ticket triage, user onboarding, and security monitoring. This new feature consolidates existing automations from Pia and its partners, enabling MSPs to deploy solutions across multiple clients without the need for scripting or one-off configurations. The Automation Hub aims to simplify automation adoption in the MSP ecosystem and is built on Pia’s AI-driven automation platform, Pia aiDesk.
Why do we care?
The AI race is speeding up, and vendors are trying really hard to convince you that their model or automation ecosystem is the “most accurate,” the “most intelligent,” the “most secure.” Notice what’s missing — real benchmarks. Nobody’s giving you standardized accuracy numbers, hallucination rates, or security guarantees. So if you take these claims at face value, you’re setting yourself — and your customers — up for unnecessary risk.
You’re also seeing AI show up inside the software your customers already use. Intuit embedding ChatGPT is the perfect example. Your clients won’t ask you about this. They’ll just start using it. And suddenly you’re dealing with shadow AI in financial workflows. If you don’t stay ahead of this, your advisory role shrinks.
Then there’s the coding side. These new agentic models can analyze massive codebases and even try to detect vulnerabilities. That’s interesting — but it’s not a substitute for real security review. It’s a tool, not magic.
And Pia’s automation marketplace? This is where things really change operationally. Buying automations instead of building them is about to become normal. But marketplaces can be messy. Bad logic, poor QA, no version control — import one bad automation and you’ve created a multi-client outage factory. You need an intake and testing process, just like code.
AI is becoming the core of the stack. Your competitive edge isn’t picking a model — it’s becoming the partner who can evaluate, govern, and operationalize all of this responsibly. That’s how you stay essential as these platforms mature.
