ConnectWise is hosting their IT Nation Connect Event in Florida.  I’m not there this year, but that doesn’t mean I’m not watching the related announcements.

ConnectWise announced enhancements to its Asio platform, including expanded third-party patching that now covers over 7,000 applications, significant improvements to the Professional Service Automation (PSA) user experience, and advanced Robotic Process Automation (RPA) capabilities. The third-party patching feature addresses security gaps by including widely exploited applications such as Discord, Brave, and Slack, among others. PSA enhancements include a unified billing intake system and calendar view for better scheduling. These updates are designed to help managed service providers (MSPs) streamline operations and improve security. The expanded patching is available now, while new RPA features will be released in the coming months.

ConnectWise also announced enhancements to its Asio™ platform that unify cybersecurity and business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) capabilities. Key features include new integrations with Microsoft Office 365, SentinelOne, Cisco Meraki, and more, aimed at accelerating threat detection and response. The platform now offers a consolidated security dashboard and backup dashboard supporting various integrations, enhancing visibility and recovery processes. These updates are designed to help managed service providers (MSPs) improve operational efficiency and address challenges posed by increasing cyber threats and compliance demands. The new capabilities will be available starting November 2025 with some features rolling out through early 2026.

And timed with the event, ESET announced the integration of its ESET PROTECT Platform with ConnectWise Asio, a remote monitoring and management solution. This integration allows for one-click deployment of the ESET PROTECT management agent, enabling managed service providers (MSPs) to streamline their security tasks with tools such as ESET Endpoint Security and ESET Full Disk Encryption. The integration aims to simplify common tasks for MSPs, enhancing their efficiency and the ability to meet legal and insurance requirements. This release does not specify pricing details, and it is positioned as a new addition rather than a replacement for existing tools, reflecting ESET’s ongoing collaboration with various RMM and PSA solutions to support MSP operations.

ConnectSecure has released AI-powered Reports for Vulnerability Management aimed at simplifying the vulnerability management process for Managed Service Providers (MSPs). These reports analyze vulnerabilities across multiple systems and rank them by business impact rather than just technical severity. The new reports are directly integrated into the ConnectSecure platform, eliminating the need for external AI tools or integrations. They provide prioritized insights, plain-language summaries, and remediation recommendations, enabling MSPs to deliver continuous risk assessment and proactive remediation. This release addresses the challenges MSPs face with traditional reporting methods and enhances their ability to offer new managed services and consulting opportunities.

Why do we care?

ConnectWise had its big IT Nation Connect event, and the news was… fine. They’re improving Asio—more apps in third-party patching, some PSA cleanup, and RPA on the way. That’s progress, but it’s incremental. And notably, there’s nothing about Manage, which tells you where their focus really is.

They’re betting the future on Asio, but it’s not exactly moving at light speed.

Meanwhile, ESET’s integrating into Asio with one-click deployment, and ConnectSecure’s launching AI-driven vulnerability reports that focus on business risk, not just technical severity. Honestly, that’s the kind of practical insight ConnectWise needs to be matching.

If you’re a ConnectWise partner, it’s steady—but not exciting. Use the patching and watch the RPA rollout, but keep your options open. The innovation’s happening around ConnectWise right now, not necessarily inside it.
