N-able has enhanced its cyber resiliency platform with the introduction of Anomaly Detection as a Service, aimed at protecting backup environments from cyber threats. This new feature is integrated into the Cove Data Protection service and requires no additional management effort or costs.
Syncro has launched an integrated cloud backup and restore solution for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID, aimed at helping managed service providers maintain business continuity by protecting against disruptions and data loss. The new Syncro Cloud Backup allows users to quickly restore roles, policies, and permissions.
LogicMonitor has announced significant enhancements to its artificial intelligence-first hybrid observability platform, notably with the introduction of Edwin AI and Dynamic Service Insights. The platform now includes features such as a new pricing model that simplifies adoption and scales with customer needs, supporting unified visibility across multiple cloud environments, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, which will be available in October.
Microsoft Research has developed a new Python command-line interface tool called MCP Interviewer to help developers identify and address server issues related to the Model Context Protocol, or MCP, before they impact performance. This open-source tool automates inspection, functional testing, and reporting, ensuring compliance with provider constraints and enhancing usability for artificial intelligence systems. MCP Interviewer plays a role in maintaining server reliability as artificial intelligence agents become increasingly common. It offers features such as constraint checking, functional testing with advanced language models, and comprehensive reporting. Microsoft Research emphasizes that while the tool is still in the experimental stage and is looking for feedback from the community.
Why do we care?
Disclosure, I’m an N-Able shareholder. Here’s what’s up: N-able is adding anomaly detection to backups for free. Syncro’s giving MSPs Microsoft 365 and Entra ID backup with identity restores. LogicMonitor’s leaning hard into AI observability. And Microsoft Research is tinkering with an open-source tool to check Model Context Protocol reliability.
Of all of these, I’m most intrigued by MCP Interviewer. I can squint and see the services offerings around checking customers MCP installs, plus testing their vendors too.
The pattern’s clear—AI and cyber resilience are fusing into the core of IT stacks. But don’t just parrot vendor feature sheets to your clients. Sell it as what they actually care about—keeping business running, keeping data safe, and spotting issues before they bite. That’s the value. Just remember, a lot of this is still early-stage. Test before you promise.
