Kaseya has launched an AI-powered workflow generator within its VSA 10 platform, designed to enhance automation for managed service providers. This new feature, known as Cooper Copilot, allows technicians to input plain-language prompts to create complete automation workflows without the need for coding. According to Jim Lippie, Chief Product Officer at Kaseya, early access users have reported executing an additional 15 to 20 procedures each week thanks to this innovation. The system not only simplifies task execution but also includes a review and approval process to maintain control and reduce risk. Kaseya aims to measure the impact of this automation on operational efficiency, focusing on metrics such as time-to-resolution and technician onboarding speed.

Malwarebytes has launched a new email security module within its ThreatDown product family to combat email-based threats, which are increasingly sophisticated. This module integrates with the company’s existing security operations platform and offers a unified approach for managing both email and endpoint protection. The average cost of a phishing breach reached a record high of $4.88 million in 2024, highlighting the urgent need for effective security solutions. Chris Couture, Director of Information Technology at Feeding Tampa Bay, praised the new module for its intuitive setup and low administrative overhead, calling it a “set it and forget it” solution. The module is powered by adaptive artificial intelligence technology from IRONSCALES, which enhances threat detection capabilities and minimizes management complexity for IT teams and security service providers.

StorX Network has announced its integration with Acronis, a leading provider of cyber protection and backup solutions, to enhance decentralized backup options for enterprises. This collaboration allows businesses to combine decentralized storage offered by StorX with Acronis’ established backup systems, providing a more secure and cost-effective alternative to traditional cloud solutions. With features like end-to-end encryption and scalability, this solution aims to help companies reduce costs while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

NinjaOne, an automated endpoint management platform, is now available on the Google Cloud Marketplace, allowing users to deploy its cloud-native solutions to boost IT efficiency and productivity. Dai Vu, Managing Director of Marketplace and Independent Software Vendor Go-To-Market Programs at Google Cloud, highlighted that this partnership allows customers to quickly deploy and manage NinjaOne’s platform on Google Cloud’s secure infrastructure.

Inforcer Limited, a startup focused on Microsoft 365 policy management, has successfully raised $35 million in funding to help managed service providers automate and scale security solutions for small to medium-sized businesses. The company aims to simplify managing multiple Microsoft 365 tenants through its compliance management platform, which is specifically designed for these service providers. Founded in 2021 and based in the United Kingdom, Inforcer’s platform features a baseline policy engine that sets custom security standards. This system monitors compliance and provides automated backup and restore capabilities to fix misconfigurations or security issues. The funding round, led by Dawn Capital with participation from Meritech Capital Partners, will also include Evgenia Plotnikova from Dawn Capital joining Inforcer’s board. This follows a previous Series A funding round in October 2024, where Inforcer raised $19 million.

Why do we care?

Kaseya’s rolling out Copilot in VSA 10—a no-code workflow generator for MSPs.  More automations, faster onboarding. But let’s not kid ourselves: bad prompts make bad automations, and without solid governance, this could create more mess than it solves.  Governance matters.

Malwarebytes is bundling email security into ThreatDown, powered by IRONSCALES. “Set it and forget it” sounds good, but does it beat best-of-breed tools? That’s the question.

Then there’s StorX and Acronis teaming up on decentralized backups. Cool concept—data sovereignty and cost savings—but decentralized storage has its own headaches.  An interesting option for the right use cases.

NinjaOne on Google Cloud Marketplace? That’s a distribution move, not a game-changer. And Inforcer’s $35M funding for multi-tenant Microsoft 365 compliance? Now that is solving a real pain point for MSPs buried in tenant sprawl.

Bottom line—automation and privacy are where MSPs can stand out. But don’t just chase shiny tools. Focus on curating and managing them so clients actually see outcomes.
