Addigy has launched new Apple Intelligence controls for device management, allowing IT administrators to test activation and deactivation of AI features before the public release of macOS 15, iOS 18, and iPadOS 18. These updates address data security concerns by enabling organizations to manage AI settings on their devices. Addigy customers can utilize these controls alongside Apple’s AI beta to enhance device management during the transition.
SaaS Alerts has launched a new Managed SaaS Alerts solution for managed service providers (MSPs) that offers 24/7 monitoring and expert support to enhance cybersecurity for SaaS applications. Key features include continuous incident analysis, monthly reporting, and proactive security enhancements. The service aims to help MSPs protect their clients against increasing SaaS-related threats, and it will be available starting September 1 for 75 cents per user per month.
Sherweb has become the first cloud solutions provider to offer SentinelOne’s Purple AI to Managed Service Providers (MSPs), enhancing their cybersecurity operations with generative AI capabilities. This solution aims to improve threat hunting, investigation, and incident response, addressing skill shortages and streamlining security processes for MSPs.
And in what is a rumor but will unnecessarily cause a freakout for many, CRN is reporting that ConnectWise is finalizing a deal to acquire Axcient, a business continuity and disaster recovery vendor, for $400 million to $500 million. This acquisition aims to enhance ConnectWise’s offerings against competitors like Kaseya.
Why do we care?
What’s interesting to me is that the noise around the MSP community will be around Connectwise – a deal that notably isn’t done – glossing over two other key moves. Addigy has support for Apple Intelligence even before it’s in the field. I keep talking about AI governance, well, here’s a tool for it. Plus, I found it notable that Sherweb is the first to market with SentinelOne. Now, SentinelOne is not very exclusive with their deals – it seems they’ll do one with everyone – but a launch partner is always a notable choice. Providers are the more interesting stories out there.
